  • Currently booking for Spring and Summer 2008. If you are expecting a baby, please contact Jennifer as soon as possible, ideally before the baby is born, to schedule a session. Newborns will be worked into the schedule since there is only a small window of opportunity to capture them in their completely "new" state. Seeing Double

These 2 are my first EVER set of newborn twins.  I've had a set of 6 month old twins and a set of almost 2 year old twins, but this was a first....and they were good to me.  Thomas was the more content of the two, but Elizabeth eventually got used to me moving her around and settled in nicely.  The funny thing is, Mom says that it's usually Elizabeth who is calm one. Guess it's opposite day.  We had fun, we had a couple of accidents on the bean bag chair, but other than that, everything was great!

Sarah....Smile

Oh, how time flies.  It seems like yesterday that I was shooting Sarah's newborn session and here she is turning one year old already.  She is just learning to walk, but already seems to be a pro at it, and is FULL of smiles.  So, here is Sarah, one year later.  (check out "I love newborns" for Sarah's first session.)

Little Miss Brooke!

Meet Miss Brooke.  She really wanted to be serious the entire session, but Mommy came to the rescue and got her happy again.  She was an absolute delight and had quite the Angelina Jolie pout going!

Let the Craziness BEGIN!

The Holiday season is QUICKLY approaching, and I know you're saying, but it's only September!  BELIEVE ME, if you want to book a session and insure delivery by the Christmas holiday be proactive and BOOK NOW.  My deadline for Christmas delivery is November 24, 2007 and I only have a handful of sessions left before that date.  I hate turning people away (I had to do it several times last year)but that is the nature of the business and the season.  If you are expecting, please contact me ASAP, preferably before the baby is born.  I leave room in my schedule for newborns as much as possible, but with the demand from the holiday season, that's not always possible.  Contact me so that we may reserve you a session!

The Girls, Part Two (or Three, or Four...)

What do photographers do for fun?

We torture our own children with cameras!  This poor boy (my own son Wyatt) was tortured not only with my lens, but with 2 other professional photographers as well.  He had his own personal paparazzi! We got together to scout new locations and Wyatt got to play guinea pig!  Although, he normally suffers from "Photographer's Child Syndrome" he was beaming in all the attention, and I managed to get a few from him where he wasn't running away and screaming from Mommy and her darn camera!

What to Wear?

This is probably the most asked question in the photography business.  What is worn in your portraits should reflect who you are, what your style is.  The key to a beautiful portrait is simplicity.  No large logos or words.  Subtle prints, solid colors, clean lines and not a lot of fuss is a must.  Most of all, the outfit should be COMFORTABLE.  Kids are not likely to have fun and be themselves when they are stuffed into restraining or "itchy" clothing.

For the Autumn season, it's all about color and texture.  Golds, Browns, Creams, Burgundy and Green colors photograph beautiful with the warmer glow of the season.  Don't forget about texture!  Corduroy, Cable knit sweaters, and Denim give depth to your portraits.  You also can't go wrong with the classics of khaki, denim and white.  We've put together a few visual suggestions of clothing that combines both color and texture, and that will help translate the feeling of the season into your portraits.  **Click on the picture for a better view***
